Outdoor Soccer in Full Swing

The cheer of soccer fans from across Coshocton County can be heard on the soccer fields at Kids America. Matches involving high school, jr. high, youth, and toddler age children are taking place all this month at KA.

Kids America is also the location for all Coshocton High School and Coshocton Jr. High club teams for both boys and girls.

Mark your calendar for the following matches: CHS Boys vs. River View - 9/8/07. Jr. High Boys vs. West Muskingum - 9/10/07. Jr. High Boys and Girls vs. Zanesville/Maysville - 9/12/07. CHS Girls, Jr. High Boys, & Jr. High Girls vs. Dover - 9/15/07.

Branstetter Honored at Girls Soccer Game

Coshocton and Tri-Valley girls soccer teams release balloons.

Balloons red, gold and black floated across the sky prior to the Tri-Valley at Coshocton girls varsity soccer match at Kids America.

They were representative of the school colors that were so near and dear to the heart of the late Alana Branstetter.

Indoor Soccer at Kids America will kickoff Saturday, November 3rd. Registrations for the 1st Session are due by October 20th.

From Shorties to the 29 and over Survival League, Kids America has a soccer league for you.


Young Women's Health Day
 
September 20th
Young Women's Health Day at Kids America.

Over 500 young ladies from Coshocton area schools will converge on Kids America for the annual Young Women's Health Day on September 20th.

Speakers for the day include Lena Crouso discussing Self Esteem and Empowerment; Gretchen Clark-Hammond, Tobacco Use; Melissa Lenko, Lifetime Health; BJ Taylor, Self Defense; Beth Cormack, Substance Abuse; Nikki Markle, Exercise; Karen Russell and Alice Matheny, Nutrition; Renata Bush, Stress Management; RoseMary Honnold, Henna Art; and River View Girl's Basketball Coach, Caroline Daugherty.


Preschool & Dance Classes Underway

Classes for Early Advantage Preschool and Miss Jennifer's Dance Studio began on September 4th at Kids America.

Walking Club Awards
 

Members of the Kids America Walking Club will be honored on Friday, September 14th for reaching a new mileage milestone while walking the track at Kids America during the month of August.

Individuals to be recognized included: Marjorie Wright (3000 Miles), Don Warren (1000 Miles), Ron McCann, Jon Husted, Kay Kreider (750 Miles), Dianne Ames, Joan Sheets (500 Miles), Jane Albert, Peter Shults (150 Miles), Karen Wright, and Mike Wright (50 Miles).

The Kids America walking club is free to members and only $5.00 per year for non-members to be eligible for walking club awards and prizes.

Canal Days Parade Participants

Over 30 seniors from the Senior Coffee Walk and Talk group at Kids America participated in the annual Coshocton Canal Days Festival Parade in August.

The group also earn the 1st Place Walking Unit trophy at the event.
